xXXi_wud_nvrstøp_ÜXXx - 100 gecs

Intro is dark DRAMA. Blurry. The distorted vocals coming from somewhere deeply buried underneath. From the get-go you can tell it's going to epic. A barrier between you and the voice (LAURA LES). But it's drawing near. Then it's suddenly RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. Hi. This song is probably inspired by a lot of different things. They sing quite the nostalgic melody. Personally i think something like the tones of S3RL and sparkliness of popular Eurodance played at the rollerskating rink when i was a child, but also melodically quite the spitting image of Soulja Boy's Kiss Me Thru the Phone straight from 2008. This song is so silly. But also emotional?? The beat drops but it makes ur eardrums bleed. Squashed like a pumpkin. I love the belting vocals (DYLAN BRADY). Good contrast after the ghostly vocals. Btw vocals are absolutely obliterated. Glitching all over. The vocals sputter Like a broken AI robot. Like u just poured water over electricity accidentally and ur like Oh shoot... and then the contraption catches on fire. This part sort of makes me cry tho, around 1:39. The voice breaking in on itself is so heartbreaking. WHY??? You'd think the bionic nature of the song deletes the humanity. But it's still so raw and real, somehow. It captures insanity. Ur quite literally going crazy, deteriorating kinda like a malfunctioning machine. Like yup, that's what u do to me. TYPE SHI!!! So good. Sooo romantic!! Some words that come to mind: furry rave obsession neon blue nightcore ballad yearning love humanoid crazy frog axel f s3rl gulping helicopter it's out with the old in with the new goodbye clouds of gray hello skies of blue It's the amalgamation of the digital music + our generation that grew up with all the weirdness that comes with the Internet. If this song doesn't perfectly represent the early 2000s, but satirized through a 2019ish lens, idk what does. Everything i love about gecs. What song should i review next? we shall see soon ;)
